Still Growing

Still Growing reimagines the traditional floral still life through loose, expressive brushwork and an intentionally open composition. A dense bouquet of flowers emerges from a simple vessel, while long, delicate stems extend beyond its center, giving the painting a sense of movement and uncontrolled growth. The recognizable floral forms gradually dissolve into abstraction. Cool blues, violets, and greens are interrupted by warm flashes of coral, yellow, and pink, while unfinished gestures and visible brushstrokes allow the process of painting to remain present on the surface. Rather than presenting flowers as a static arrangement, Tcherneshoff captures them as something alive and still unfolding. The contrast between structure and spontaneity gives the work both decorative presence and emotional energy.
